1. How do I book a bin?
Simply ring 9876 1611 and speak to a Cheaper Bin Hire staff member to organise your bin delivery.
2. How much notice is needed to book a bin?
We can usually deliver your bin on the same day if you ring by about 10am. However, it is always best to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment and it is generally advisable to give 24 - 48 hours notice to ensure that you get your bin when you want it.
3. When can I get my bin?
We deliver 7 days a week, and are on the road from 6am. However, please remember to book as early as possible to ensure that your delivery arrives when you want it.
4. What size do I need?
Although “cubic metres” are not foreign to us, we appreciate that it might be a bit of a strange language to others! Our friendly and experienced staff are trained to help you estimate which bin size will suit your job. Please feel comfortable to let us use our year of experience to help you.
5. What can and can't go in the bin?
We accept most forms of rubbish, so it is easier to list the items that we won’t take. We will not accept asbestos in any form, contaminated soil, food scraps, large tree stumps, liquids, oils, or paints. Tyres and mattresses are acceptable; however, they have additional costs. For current charges, please speak with one of our friendly staff-members
6. Can I put a mixed load in the bin?
Yes, you are allowed to put mixed loads into our bins. However, please note that extra charges may apply, depending on what the mixed loads contain. Just mention this to our staff when you book your bin so as to avoid any difficulties later.
7. How high can I load bins?
Bins must be filled level to the sides of the bin. Due to road safety regulations, we cannot carry bins that have been filled over the sides of the bin
8. What happens if I overload the bin?
We are not allowed to carry bins that have waste above the sides of the bins. Bins must be able to be tied down in a safe and secure manner. If the bin is overloaded you will have the option to either take the waste off the top so that the bin is level, or to get another bin delivered at the standard price.
9. How long can I keep the bin for?
The standard hire period is three days. We may be able to arrange extra time for you if you ask us. However, this may not be possible during busy periods such as weekends and holidays. Extra charges may apply
10. What if I finish with the bin early?
Just call us on 9876 1611, and we will get the bin out of your way as soon as possible.
11. How do I pay for my bin?
You can pay using cash, cheque, Mastercard or Visacard. Payment is due on delivery.
12. Are there any additional charges?
Mattresses, tyres and council permits (for bins on nature strips and roads) have additional charges. Our staff will advise you of these.
13. Council Permits
Bins placed on the road or nature strip require council permit fees in most areas. We are accredited with most local councils and will arrange this for on your behalf. Additional charges apply, and, as most councils have different rates, our staff will advise you of your individual council costs.
14. Do you recycle my waste?
es! We are committed to recycling. We are proud that we currently divert 70% (on average) of all our rubbish from landfill via our rubbish-sorting program.
